Vineger Tom play/ blogs - UNIT 3 & 4

The class collaborated on a project called vinegar Tom, Caryl Churchill is the playwright of vinegar tom. Our play we performed this term is about witch hunts and it’s also about feminism and prosecution this tells you that men have mistreated and misjudged women, also  power relationships through the lens of the 17th century. The script uses features of the epic theatre related with the German playwright Bertolt Brecht,  especially with its practical use of songs as well as the added overstatement of the actors when they performed the play and did the songs in the 17th century. the women had to wear modern dresses or skirts and the men wore shirts and trousers or jeans to make them look fashionable.   I did some research on the playwright of  vinegar Tom  which is a women called Caryl Churchill in (1976) it was premiered on the 12th of October.
