Lauren: Hi Lorenzo how are you my cute best friend, because today is your first day working in here of course i will volunteer to help you.
Lorenzo: Hey girl i am good thanks i am feeling quite happy and confident this morning, but yeah sure that will be great because its my first day and i have a few colleagues so it might be helpful for you to help me.
Lauren: Thats good my friend i am happy that you are happy and that is amazing you are feeling great, there is no reason to have doubt in yourself and thats what friends are for so of course i will help you out look lets get started its nearly 11am.
stage directions : Lorenzo walks towards the doors to open it for the customers and the customers walk in
Lorenzo: I appreciate it muchas gracias for being here for me, i promise i wont doubt myself and yeah thats true we are always meant to be there for each other and ok lets get started.
Hola mi hermana's its a pleasure for you to come to our salon also its my first day in here so i am thankful you three ladies came up to me.
customer Maria: Hey mi hermano de nada, i would like to have a manicure first and the colours i would like is blue and silver when you are finished with my nails i would like a pedicure please.
Lauren: la clienta dijo que le gustaria una manicura y luego una pedicura es naranja y amarillo
Lorenzo: aha ok lets start now, come and sit down i will start with the manicure.
customer Maria: ok muchas gracias mi hermano, la forma que quiero es una forma puntiaguada.
Lorenzo smiles and carries on with doing her nails and then eventually does her toe nails

customer Maria: wow both my finger nails and my toe nails look beautiful, thank you very much.
Lorenzo; you are welcome i am glad you like it.

Lauren: Hola como te sientes, how was your doctors appointment, also how was your doctors appointment, did you get the surgery done.
Gabriella: Hola estoy bien, es solo que me siento un poco inseguro y me siento un poco confundido, but it could be better even though, im happy i did half of the surgery.
Lauren: Lorenzo that's good wow, su voz es muy diferente. Tambien su tono mas alto como una mujer. En caso de que empiece a lamarte por Gabriella for respect.
Gabriella: yeah my voice is different, pero si le agradecería mucho si me llama Gabriella por favor bestie
stage directions: Lauren walks away and then the manager walks towards Lorenzo
Manager: Hola Lorenzo you look different, your features are not the same as before did you get surgery? and are you changing into a women or something.
Gabriella: Hi well i was scared to tell you just in case I lost the job, but as you probably can tell my voice has changed into a women's voice. I do hope you can still except me for who I am but if not its ok because i know a better job that pays more money, and they wouldn't judge me for who I am.
Manger: Yes I am sorry, but me as the manager i cant except you ,but I suppose I will have to because I don't want to loose you as one of my workers.
Gabriella: bueno, esta bien, no quiero que me usen, asi que supongo que porque dijeron que no pueden aceptarme, asi que adios, imbeciles.
unit 7:
I wrote about this play because its different and I know a few people that is transgender so I thought that it would stand out, I don't want to be the same as others also to show respect to the people that is transgender because there are quite a few people in this world that is gay, transgender or even both. One reason that I wrote about this play is because I don't judge people for who they are, although they are who they are I respect them people no matter who they are as a person. The relationship I have with this character is we are both close friends and we are like brother and sister, we treat each other so kindly we have each others backs no matter what. we have good banter with each other and a strong brotherly bond.
set and props: Its set in a nail salon, I had to research and find three background pictures of a nail salon. I had to choose one picture out of three for the script, i choose the one that was quite dark and blue and it had chairs and a table with nail polish around and it made it clear to the audience where it was set. I would of liked a background of the sky and sun to make it more brighter at the begging of my scene, Also for another background i would have liked a background of a hand when i started doing the characters finger nails to make it more realistic to the audience. Each of the characters on stage was sitting down in the middle of the stage, it was a minimum of 7 people and 4 people sitting on the side of the stage. I would of liked tables added to the scenery and maybe some nail polish to make it more believable.
Evaluation
The way i came up with this idea for my script, it came from the desire of my thoughts to do something both different and realistic, we had to write our own scripts individually it was our first time writing a script so it was good practice for us all. Every play contained different elements of drama, comedy, romance, and suspense, i believe my script was successful because we all as a group took a lot of time to practice. We read through the script before we performed them and it was well spoken and had high energy also we focused on expressing our emotions of our characters, i felt emotionally connected to my characters it also was amazing, and it stood out. I think Argentina was also an exciting background full of bright colours and enjoying a fascinating culture, because its a hot country thats what makes it bright and stand out really well and they have also got nice food, for example empanadas, pastafrola, pizza fugazza, chimichurri which is with ground beef and rice also Milanesa they are all delicious. I think all the actors had clear voices also all of us had determination that's what went well and we spoke quite well but you have to use your vocal skills to be able to project your voice so the audience can hear you. Firstly in my script their was Kai, Aya, Ola, Kaya, Emilio and me in my script. I think all the performances went really well, because we all spoke really clearly and it was really good also it stood out really well even though we had to use our scripts, but it was still good. What could of been better is if we could have projected our voices more also concentrated more, because it is vital to know when your next in cue in the scene, it makes it more professional. For my scene and the whole script the characters should have made it more like reality for example i think the actors should have experimented on trying different types of voices also by adjusting their tone and accents, it would of made it more fun also funnier, it would have been good to see what worked best. I was in Lees script so i read the character for Victoria which was really good, it was funny and enjoyable, it stood out really well. The character i played was happy and quite sarcastic, she is also well known for being the teachers pet. I also read in Elisabeth's script and the character i played was shelly and she was a silly old cockney woman, which was good but it was different because it was about a court but it still stood out, i thought that it was a unique and interesting setting. I also read the stage directions for Ola's script, it was about a couple that was in love with each other also they had different careers, Isobel just wants to be a normal girl although her partner Tom wants to be an artist. They have different dreams and Tom likes to travel, so he goes on a trip to Paris, Isobel finds out she's pregnant but she decides not to tell tom because of his little trip and she didn't want to ruin it before he leaves. My favourite script was the wasted dreams which was Ola's one because it is a really happy and romantic script it seemed like it was real and that made it stand out more also i loved the fine wines by Duana it had a lot of humour and it was exciting to watch the actors perform. I think this project and unit was a good way to get a good understanding of how to write scripts and be able to become an amazing actor or actress in the future also i think that writing our scripts helped us know how to put everything together and to learn more knowledge about acting, we learnt new skills, like our thinking skills. I believe if we all work together as a team we can shine no matter what, you just got to believe you can achieve your goals and do what makes you happy, because you have the strength to do anything, you are strong and you can do anything you want to achieve. What influenced me to write this scene about transgender, it is because i know a few people that is a transgender and they told me that they didn.t feel comfortable as they were in their old bodies, they asked me to always respect them and people that are a transgender because they are still a human being so that's what influenced me because i want to show the world that everyone matters no matter who you are, and who you want to be.
I researched and i found out that there is about 200 to 500 thousand transgender people in Europe, also in to the subject matter, the term was originally transvestite closest queen coined by sexologist Magnus Hirschfield. Who later developed the business that would manage the first sex change, the expression has been changed to become a more appropriate descriptor, transgender was coined in 1949 but it first came out in 1971. The term of transgender is often preferred because being trans is related to a individual persons gender and identity. I also found out that it is frowned upon in many countries, leading to viscous oppression and discrimination, mistreatment can come physically and mentally, you can get murdered or beaten up for being a transgender. Even through laws and institutions in other countries, it is hard to get data on the mistreatment of transgender people because some of the most hostile places have pathetic, poor documentation on the matter. Some countries like Morocco, India, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Honduras, Uganda and Russia, a few countries that treat LGBT badly, in places that fare statement and promoters say that there are still many issues you can get killed for being gay or transgender. In Argentina it has one of the most comprehensive gender rights and laws, its gender identity law passed in 2012. It made Argentina the only country that allows people to change there gender identities without facing barriers such as hormone therapy, surgery or psychiatric diagnosis that labels them as having an abnormality. currently Argentina trans activists are pushing for anti-discrimination and employment quota laws, as well as to stop killings of transgender people, researchers explored trends in suicidal ideation and attempts by race and gender from 1991- 2017 using data on nearly 200,000 high school students from the nationally representative youth risk behaviour survey. In Argentina, almost all trans people live in poverty and destitution. Many of them were expelled from their homes in their youth because their families rejected their gender identity A report prepared by the association of "transvestite", transsexual and transgender in Argentina, (Association of Argentinian transsexuals and transgender- ATTTA) and guest foundation, which collected data from 452 trans women and 46 trans men in 7 regions of Argentina, it shows the high frequency of suicidal thoughts in people from this group during their teens, this impacts on their mental health because their families dont them so they get them from the mental health services. The data showed 19% of teens seriously considered suicide 15% had made a plan to commit suicide, and 8% had attempted suicide also 2.5% had been suicide attempted to kill themselves.
In addition to this, i watched a few episodes of EastEnders and it inspired me to write about transgender for my script because there is a few scenes about LGBT for example Ben Mitchell he is gay with Calum. They have also got married, also there is some kissing scenes between them two and it is quite inspiring to see that it doesn't matter if it is a man and women or the opposite sex like a man and man or a women and women it doesn't matter because its still love no matter what. I find it interesting that you can act gay or lesbian even if you ain't in real life, such as Bernadette Taylor she is a lesbian in the soap also Luisa Bradshaw- White she played Tina carter in EastEnders also she was a lesbian, but she has left now, i find it inspirational and interesting that she is actually married to a women she has a beautiful wife and three kids so no matter what it can be true happiness and love. Although there are many inspirations in EastEnders in different topics that inspired me to write about transgender because they have a lot of different dialogues, plot twists and different scenes like love, gay, happiness, excitement, threat and violence also blackmailing also speaking to digital spy about the scenes in Q&A's it inspires me to watch more and learn about different things you gain more knowledge. I also watched some short movies on transgender, lesbians also gay movies and that helped me understand more and it inspired me to write a script about transgender because its different and its like reality, some examples of short movies are headspace daily struggles, masked also brace they are all different and amazing it has a lot of different emotions and doubts, some people are scared to open up because of being judged for wanting to change your sexuality or being gay or lesbian because some people disagree with it but it all inspired me with everything i did to research so this is what inspired me to write a scene about transgender.
