Monologue transgender scene one UNIT 5

scene one

Its set in a nail salon in Argentina in 1985 

11am in the morning 

transgender

his girl best friend Lauren, she speaks American English but she can speak Spainish quite good, Lorenzo is a Spainish guy that is confused about his sexuality and would like to become a women

he would like a new identity his girl best friend wants to focus on her job. and what she wants in life is to become a star 

stage direction's:

Lauren walks inside of the nail salon 

scene one page one: 

Lauren: Hi  Lorenzo how are you my cute best friend, because today is your first day working in here of course i will volunteer to help you. 

Lorenzo: Hey girl i am good thanks i am feeling quite happy and confident this morning, but yeah sure that will be great because its my first day and i  have a few colleagues so it might be helpful to help me

Lauren: Thats good my friend i am happy that you are happy and that is amazing you are feeling great, there is no reason to have doubt in yourself and thats what friends are for so of course i will help you out  look lets get started its nearly 11am. 

stage  directions : Lorenzo  walks towards the doors to open it  for the customers and they walk in 

Lorenzo: I appreciate it muchas gracias for being here for me, i promise i wont doubt myself and yeah thats true we are always meant to be there for each other and ok lets get started. 

Hola mi hermana's its a pleasure for you to come to our salon also its my first day in here so i am thankful you three ladies came up to me. 


customer Maria:  Hey mi hermano de nada, i would like to have a manicure first  and the colours  i would like is orange and yellow when you are finished with my nails i would like a pedicure please. 


Lauren:  la clienta dijo que le gustaria una manicura y luego una pedicura es naranja y amarillo 


Lorenzo: aha ok lets start now, come and sit down  i will start with the manicure.


 customer Maria: ok muchas gracias  mi hermano, la forma que quiero es  una forma  puntiaguada.


Lorenzo smiles and carries on with doing her nails and then eventually does her toe nails 


thirty  minutes later 


customer Maria: wow both my finger nails and my toe nails look beautiful, thank you very much. 


Lorenzo; you are welcome i am glad you like it.

unit 5 6 & 7

UNIT 5:    memory   I was very excited when my mum and dad said  i was about to start nursery,  i was three years old also there was a lot of children my age which i was happy to be able to play with children my age, but i was also shy. In the play garden they had slides, sand pits, prams, and baby dolls which i loved because i always used to like getting messy in the sand pit and i liked playing with the baby dolls. Inside we did paintings and drawings and we made puzzles and put them together, we also ate some lunch together and i sat with my friends and we was talking and eating snacks like crisps, fruit and fish and chips for lunch. At first i started going part time then eventually i went full time which i was really happy about because i loved seeing other kids so we could entertain each other. Jim cartwright was born in  Farnworth, Lancashire i n 1958 he was educated at Harper Green secondary school, he is an actor and a writer, Jim is a married man and has 6 children and twins, Jim cartwright is the writer of road, his first play was called Road in royal court theatre in 1986. Britain was under going austerity crisis.  His work continues production around the world has been translated into 35 languages, he also wrote little voice what was released on the 8th of January 1999 and he also did many more plays.
