Unit 9 (Sound For Production)

The  reason  we  need  sound  in  our  performances  is  because  it  engages  the  audience, and  it increases  the  production  value  also  it  provokes  emotional  responses  from  the  audience  and   actors, when  performing  with  all  the  sounds  to show every single  emotion  of  the  storyline  in  all  the scenes  also it  is  used to  indicate  the  mood  of  the  scenes,  whether  you  are  using  sound  effects,  music  and even silence it can relate and work really well to  that  scene you  are  doing  that  is all that matters. Imagine all  the scenes and  activities  in  silence,  with  visuals, it would be so  quiet  and  dark without any sound effects  at  all  also  now think  of  all  the  scenes with the correct  sound  effects  that's  a  big  difference. Because it  makes  it  more  realistic  and  fun  also  the  effects can be  more  abstract,  such  as  a  swoosh  which  it can show more  creativity and  excitement  to  the  happy  and  funny scenes.

Today the 7.06.21 we actually ran through the tech run properly, we went through the lighting, sound and costumes. Also we  have  to  know  our  cue  with  our lines  and  on  the tech  side  of  the right  lighting and all the sounds we need for the performance, i think the performance went well today because we run through  the  whole  tech and  this helped  me with  the blocking. By  running  through  the tech  this helped  me understand  the blocking  of  even  butting  in with  the other characters lines and  even standing  in front  of  them is blocking the action. This  helped  me  understand  where  to  be on  stage when  the  lighting  and  sound  it  helped  us  all to  get  into our  places  quicker,  it   also  helped  the production  team  to  know  when  to  get  all  the  lighting  and sound ready for  the   performance  so it didn't  go  wrong.  I  think  the  performance  went  well  we  worked   on  our   articulation   skills  by  doing   some  voice  warm  ups  for  example  making sounds with our mouth to warm up our voice doing tongue  twisters  chewing   gum,  i   had   to  be  flexible  with  using   our   body  language   having   to  show   actions   which  stood   out  with the whole performance, the  lighting  and  sound   stood  out  with  everything.
